Our member firm Kyriakides Georgopoulos Law Firm has acted as Greek legal advisor to CVC Capital Partners (via Aeolus Holdings S.à r.l.) in connection with its landmark EUR 1.2 billion cornerstone investment in the share capital increase of Public Power Corporation S.A. (“PPC”).
Raising gross proceeds of EUR 4.25 billion, the transaction is the largest capital raising in Greece over the past decade, one of the largest ever completed on Euronext Athens, and among the most significant equity offerings in Europe in recent years. The capital raised will primarily support the implementation of PPC’s transformational EUR 24 billion growth and investment program.
