Our member firm, Boyanov & Co., advised UniCredit Bulbank and Eurobank Bulgaria on a syndicated financing for the construction of a 200 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) near Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
Boyanov & Co. prepared the full set of finance documents, including an LMA-based facilities agreement, security package, subordination agreements, sponsors’ undertaking agreement, and more; advised the banks in the negotiation of the finance documents, and assisted with the signing and closing of the financing.
The BESS project received financing under the NextGenerationEU initiative through Bulgaria’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
