Our member firm BOYANOV & Co. advised Enery, a leading independent power producer in Central and Eastern Europe, on the Bulgarian law aspects of a portfolio project financing by Československá obchodní banka, United Bulgarian Bank AD and Československá obchodná banka.
The financing enables Enery to accelerate the delivery of 300 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity and 100 MW / 220 MWh of co-located battery energy storage systems (BESS) across four energy markets.
The two financings concerning the projects in Bulgaria were successfully closed at the end of 2025.
The first project comprised a 50 MW (AC) / 60.4 MWp (DC) photovoltaic power plant located in Parvomay. The second project comprised a 122.2 MW (DC) / 90 MW (AC) photovoltaic power plant, as well as a 89.46 MW (AC) / 180.54 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), both located in Haskovo Municipality.
BOYANOV & Co. assisted Enery with respect to all Bulgarian law aspects of these financings, including advising on the facility agreements and the Bulgarian security documents, assisting in satisfaction of conditions precedent for utilization, issuing legal opinions, etc.
