Possible Sale of Shares in the Largest Slovenian Energy Company, PETROL

The main business activity of the Slovenian largest energy company, Petrol, is trading in oil derivatives, gas and other energy products (80% of all sales revenue, leading market share in the Slovenian market). Approximately 20% of the revenue comes from trading with consumer goods and services.

It’s an interesting acquisition target:

  • the acquisition could be financed directly from the cash flow it generates;
  • it owns the Sermin Installation Terminal, which is the largest and most modern oil and gas depot in the central and northern Adriatic.

The sale of (minority) shares is possible by one or more of the shareholders (e.g. Ceskoslovenska obchodni bank, A.S. (J&T Finance Group) with 12.78%).

In 2018, Petrol Group generated  EUR 5,4 billion in net sales revenue with EBITDA at 171.5 million.
