Potential Sale of State-owned Companies and Resources
The Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia announced that the Government is interested in selling part of the state-owned companies, as well as resources where the Government is the dominant owner, namely Railways and Transport, The National Post, Eurokompozit JSC Prilep, Tobacco Company JSC Prilep, ski center Popova Sapka, camping Livadishte, power plant TEC Negotino and similar resources.

Construction of a Chain of Petrol Stations Countrywide
In the middle of May 2020, the state announced its intention for building a chain of petrol stations countrywide in order to improve competition on the market.

PPP Project for 17 Schools in Thessaloniki-Katerini

Road Infrastructure Project Milot – Thumane – Rrogozhine - Fier
The Albanian Prime Minister announced on 3 June 2020 the development of a major infrastructure project that will directly connect through a dedicated highway in the north-western city of Milot with Fier (located in the southwest of the country).
The construction costs of the project are expected to be approximately EUR 1.2 billion, whereas including VAT and expropriation costs, the overall value of the project is expected at around EUR 1.7 billion.

Financing Agreements for the Vinča Waste-to-Energy PPP Signed
Financing agreements for the waste management public-private partnership project in Vinča, Belgrade were signed in the beginning of October. The project has a total investment size estimated at approximately EUR 350 million, envisaged to be financed by equity and non-recourse debt from IFIs – EBRD, IFC and OeEB. This is one of the largest and certainly the most complex project financing schemes in Serbia up to date. It is supposed to resolve the environmental hazard caused by one of the largest dump sites in Europe.
