Geothermal Power Plant in Virovitica

April 2022 The project will begin this summer with an initial investment of about HRK 530 million (approx. EUR 70 million). This is so far the largest investment in Virovitica-Podravina County. The project involves the production of electricity from geothermal sources and is a large investment for Croatia, especially for the municipality of Cadjavica. March 2022 There are two potential scenarios for the realisation of this project, one that includes the installation of 29 Vestas turbines with a total cost of EUR 109 million and the other that includes the installation of 29 China turbines with a total cost of EUR 78.9 million. Wind Farm Borova Glava

February 2022 Located in the western part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a region whose richness is best attested by the number of renewable energy projects currently planned. The farm is set to produce 149.62 GWh annually with an installed net electric power of 52 MW. Until now, the feasibility and geotechnical studies, as well as an ESI assessment and substation design, have been completed, while there is a waste management plan in place. The estimated project value is EUR 78 million.

Wind Farm Velika Vlajna

February 2022 Velika Vlajna is an important renewable energy project that will be carried out in lower Herzegovina, near the city of Mostar. The project is being developed and owned by „Elektroprivreda HZHB Mostar“. It is expected to generate around 89 GWh annually and to have 32 MW of installed net electric power. Up to this moment, the feasibility and geotechnical studies, as well as an ESI assessment and substation design, have been completed, while there is a waste management plan in place. The estimated project value is 52 million EUR.

Photovoltaic Power Plants in CM Jamularci and CM Skandalci

February 2022 The photovoltaic power plants in Jamularci and Skandalci will have a total capacity of 280 megawatts. The value of the investment is EUR 184 million.

UGT Solar Panels

January 2022 UGT Renewables LLC is negotiating with the Ministry of mining and energy on the construction of several solar power plants in Serbia with 1,000 MW total power. Serbian Government signed an MOU with UGT, while the US EXIM bank offered favourable financing terms to the Serbian Government for this project.
