In the Thermal PP projects in B&H sector, extremely potent investments in the existing infrastructure stand out in the cities of Bugojno and Kakanj, in the region of central Bosnia. The investment project in Bugojno includes the construction of Bugojno thermal power plant and restructuring of Gracanica coal mine. It is a project that includes TPP – Restructuring of Gracanica coal mine, with a note that it is a cogeneration unit with coal burning. Currently, Gracanica Coal Mine has a license to explore, while Feasibility study for TPP and coal mine are completed. Estimated project value is EUR 592.57 million.
As regards the investment project in Kakanj, it pertains to the extension and creation of a New Unit 8, within the existing TPP. It is a project that includes cogeneration with CFB or pulverized coal burning TPP. Currently, TPP Kakanj 300 MW, Unit 8 has a completed and revised complete investment and environmental documentation. Estimated project value is EUR 626 million.
