Romania Plans to Invest Over EUR 16 Billion for the Development of the Energy Sector

In the context of the 2021-2030 Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan, the Romanian state will invest EUR 16 billion, granted by the EU. The investments will be focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy, reducing greenhouse emissions. Some of the measures include the development of a nuclear programme, modernisation of Oltenia and Hunedoara Energy Complexes, investments by the state-owned companies Hidroelectrica and Romgaz.
