The Sale of Rogla Ski Resort and Zrece Thermal Spa Temporarily Suspended

UNIOR d.d. announced the sale of its subsidiary UNITUR d.o.o., which is active in tourism and owns the Rogla Ski Resort and Zrece Thermal Spa.

In 2018, UNITUR generated a sales revenue of EUR 19,75 million (EBITDA: EUR 2,45 million). It is, however, heavily indebted, with a net debt to EBITDA ratio of more than 6.

A state bid to buy Unitur was expected, as it is planned to be included in the national tourist holding. (The annual management plan of the Slovenian State Holding Company (SSH) for 2020 also includes the plan for the consolidation, management and restructuring of national tourist companies.)

Update: Due to the COVID-19 epidemics, the sale process has been temporarily suspended. It is estimated that the suspension will last until 1 September 2020.
