1) Croatia: United Group’s Acquisition of Tele2 (Divjak, Topic & Bahtijarevic; Kirkland & Ellis; Schoenherr)
DTB is pleased to announce that it has once again been awarded Deal of the Year Award by CEE Legal Matters for advising in the most significant transaction in Croatia in 2019. The firm is honoured by the award and wishes to send special thanks to its client United Group whom they advised in the acquisition of Croatian operations of Tele2 AB.

2) Montenegro: Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka’s Acquisition of Majority Stake in Societe Generale Banka Montenegro (CMS; Jones Day; Kalo & Associates; Schoenherr; Sytnyk & Partners)
KALO & ASSOCIATES is delighted that CEE Legal Matters spotted them again this year as part of the pool of firms that made the Acquisition of Societe Generale’s subsidiaries by OTB Bank as the Deal of the Year in several countries in the region, including Montenegro.
The award rewards efforts by partners and associates and supporting staff, so they should be proud of having contributed with their specific knowledge, expertise and dedication to the success of this significant regional deal. More specifically, thanks go to M&A, Banking, Employment, IP, Real Estate and Litigation departments and their heads.
3) Serbia: Coca Cola HBC’s Acquisition of Bambi from Mid Europa Partners (BDK Advokati; Dechert; Karanovic & Partners; Latham & Watkins; Norton Rose Fulbright; White & Case; Zavisin, Semiz & Partneri).
BDK Advokati is proud to announce that, for the second year in a row, a deal the firm advised on is recognised as Serbian deal of the year by CEE Legal Matters. This time Coca Cola HBC’s acquisition of Bambi has been voted the most prestigious transaction in Serbia for 2019.
This award recognises the effort of BDK’s M&A team who led the project, as well as other departments who made significant contributions to the real estate, IP, competition, employment and financial aspects of the deal.
