The Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Investment Office stated that increasing Turkish airports’ total passenger capacity to 350 million per year is planned at an expected investment amount of USD 30 billion.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has commissioned the construction of four airports in Batı Antalya, Karaman, Yozgat and Bayburt-Gümüşhane.
While Batı Antalya, Yozgat and Bayburt-Gümüşhane airports are currently under construction and expected to be opened in late 2023, Karaman airport’s zoning plans and environmental impact assessment has been completed, and the tender for the next phase is expected to be announced soon.
