Before rejoining Kalo & Associates, Jona served as Tax & Law Manager and Country Law Practice Leader at EY, where she oversaw legal services for both Albania and Kosovo. Earlier in her career, she led the Banking & Finance department at Kalo & Associates in Tirana, where she managed complex financing transactions and regulatory matters.

Her expertise covers corporate law, tax, employment, banking and insurance, M&A and commercial contracts. She has consulted for leading banks, non-banking financial institutions and multinational corporations, and has represented clients in significant tax controversies before governmental bodies and administrative courts.

In addition to her client advisory work, Jona has contributed to major legal reforms in Albania, including drafting and supporting legislation on concessions, tax procedures, investment funds and pension funds. Widely recognised for her thorough understanding of client business models and work culture, she is valued for delivering solid legal advice coupled with practical commercial insight, helping clients navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
