Our member firm, Kalo & Associates, advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on a strategic transaction in Kosovo involving a €25 million portfolio risk-sharing facility with Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo, designed to unlock up to EUR 50 million in MSME lending.
The transaction also includes two loans of €3 million each, provided under the Go Digital and Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) programmes, aimed at supporting digitalisation, energy efficiency and green technologies. The overall financing package is supported by the European Union through the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) and EFSD+.
The matter was led by Partners Jona Bica Kacinari and Leonora Beka-Mehmeti, who advised the EBRD throughout the structuring and implementation of the facility.
