North Macedonia Adopted the Fourth Package of Measures to Support the Economy during the COVID-19 Pandemic
The package is focused on the extension of the previously adopted measures with the purpose of further revitalization of the country’s economy. This set of measures shall be used in the final quarter of 2020, while some of the measures shall continue or start at the beginning of 2021.
The package of measures is divided into three segments. The first segment is focused on direct financial support for the citizens, for the purpose of stimulating the consumption of homemade products and services in the affected sectors. The second segment includes the financial support for the private sector and stimulating the companies for retaining the employees on the job positions, while the third segment is intended for support of financial and fiscal sustainability, including the financial stability in the municipalities.
The total amount of the financial support for this package is estimated to EUR 470 million.
